Buying a home can be one of the best financial decisions you make.

It can also be challenging and confusing—but it doesn’t have to be. With our experience in helping thousands of people buy homes, we can guide you away from pitfalls related to the location, condition, and future resale of your home. With the knowledge and systems we’ve developed, we can make home buying both successful and enjoyable.

Over the decades, the Morris Home Team has become known for honesty, integrity, knowledge and skill. This reputation stems from our clients and is our most valuable asset. We want to make it work for you.

What should you expect from your realtor?

  • Market Knowledge
The market behaves differently depending on price range and neighbourhood. For example, are you looking in a buyer’s market, a seller’s market, or a balanced market? We’ll give you numbers and advice to prepare you for the seller’s expectations and for the level of competition.

  • Negotiating Skills
Negotiating is like any other skill: the more you do it, the better you get. Our volume of work and our experience will give you an advantage in getting the best price possible.

  • Knowledge of Housing Construction
What are the performance levels of different types of foundation? What’s knob-and-tube wiring? What are the signs of water penetration? How do new home builders differ? These are important questions. When viewing homes, we’ll supply you with the knowledge you need to make an informed decision before submitting an offer. We want our clients to arrive at their home inspection conversant and focused.

  • Referrals
We coordinate with the other parties involved in the buying process. Whether you need a lender, a home inspector, a lawyer, or a moving company, we can provide a list of professionals who have done excellent work for our clients.

  • Experience in the Purchase Process
Above all else, we will protect your interests. We’ll guide you through preparing an offer and possible conditions, such as a home inspection or obtaining financing. We’ll explain the offer procedure and presentation to the seller, and we’ll keep you involved and informed throughout the process. We will liaise with all parties to the sale, including the lawyer. We will follow up and follow through.

  • Communication.
We stay attuned to your evolving home buying preferences, and we listen. We will answer your concerns quickly, and suggest resources and means to address them.
